COOLSCULPTING ELITE

COOLSCULPTING ELITE

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical method of fat reduction that has revolutionized body contouring procedures over the last decade. Also known as cryolipolysis, CoolSculpting uses intense cold to freeze fat cells without damaging the surface tissues and nerves. Stubborn fat can be reduced significantly in the treated area, though results can vary, and CoolSculpting is proven to be safe and effective.1

CoolSculpting Elite is the latest and most advanced addition to the CoolSculpting system. The Elite features seven applicators that are specifically designed to hug the body’s natural curves for improved comfort and fit. Moreover, the new dual applicators of CoolSculpting Elite allow us to treat double the surface area and to target areas that were previously difficult to reach. We can also treat more fat in a shorter amount of time, thanks to applicators that feature an 18% greater surface area.2

ULTHERAPY

ULTHERAPY

Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and trigger a regenerative response below the skin’s surface. This patented technology ensures ideal amounts of energy are delivered to precisely targeted areas, allowing collagen production to gradually lift and soften skin for natural-looking and long-lasting results – typically after just one treatment.

Ultherapy can also be used to enhance and extend results from a facial plastic surgery procedure, allowing it to offer a wonderful alternative to dermal fillers or laser treatments for patients wishing to prolong facelift and brow lift outcomes.

KYBELLA

KYBELLA

The “double chin” is an area that is very discouraging for many people. Often it seems that no matter how much you diet or exercise, that stubborn submental fullness is still there. Kybella is now available, which is the first injection of its kind to treat the double chin right in the office without surgery. The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, which is a chemical that naturally degrades fat.

Indications

The ideal patient for Kybella is someone who has fat in the submental area. It is important to differentiate this from loose skin or hanging platysma muscle bands because different procedures are needed for those conditions. The submental fullness may result from weight gain, aging, genetics or other reasons.

LIP ENHANCEMENT

LIP ENHANCEMENT

Lip augmentation is an aesthetic procedure designed to provide you with fuller, sexier, plump lips. Lip enhancement can also correct cosmetic irregularities in the lips such as asymmetry to achieve a perfectly proportioned pout and providing balance to the facial features overall. There are a variety of treatments that can enhance lip volume including injectable fillers, lip implants, or fat grafting.

SPIDER VEIN REMOVAL

SPIDER VEIN REMOVAL

Small spider veins on the leg are removed with a series of injections called sclerotherapy, where fluid is injected into the small veins to occlude them and make them disappear. An excellent result can be achieved over a few sessions in capable hands, and we perform this procedure regularly. A laser may sometimes be used in certain situations, but sclerotherapy remains the gold standard, because it better deals with the presence of different sized vessels and the risk of scarring is much lower.

Spider veins around the nose and on the cheeks are also a common problem. These can be treated with a light laser procedure or with a photofacial, also known as intense pulse light (IPL) therapy. An IPL is also effective in treating the small vessels that occur on the cheeks in rosacea patients. The light blanches the vessels over the course of about three treatments and provides a nice result with minimal to no downtime.

A photofacial, or intense pulsed light treatment, is a great way to improve age spots and tiny blood vessels on the face. The treatment is extremely easy to go through and consists of cooling the skin and then going over it with a machine dispersing a bright flash of light.

The pulse of light bleaches the pigment in the age spot, and the spot essentially falls off in a few days. The photofacial also blanches the tiny spider veins on the face, significantly improving facial redness. This is especially true in patients with rosacea. Recovery is usually minimal, with most patients experiencing only some redness for a few hours.

FRAXEL LASER

FRAXEL LASER

With the Fraxel laser technology, practitioners at Associates in Plastic Surgery can treat a variety of skin imperfections and stimulate collagen production, revealing improved tone, texture, and an overall healthy glow.

THREADLIFT & INSTALIFT

THREADLIFT & INSTALIFT

Why go through a large surgical procedure to lift areas of the face and neck when a nonsurgical procedure can be performed in the office to create a noticeable improvement. The Silhouette InstaLift uses suture threads that are inserted into the face under a local anesthetic. There are tiny cones on the suture that help lift the surrounding tissue, creating a rejuvenated appearance in under an hour. Over time, the thread and cones dissolve, leaving the newly formed collagen growth to help hold the tissue in place.

The threads can be used in three general areas – the cheeks, the jowls, and the neck. After injecting the numbing agent, a pair of needles are inserted in the desired area. The suture thread is inside of the needle, so when the needle is removed, the suture is left in place. Then a gentle upwards massage seats it into position. That’s all there is to it. You will see the results immediately.

laser hair removal

laser hair removal

We have one of the most comprehensive treatment programs for removing hair. Unwanted hair growth used to be difficult to treat and involved messy creams, plucking, painful waxing, or electric current (electrolysis). However, the laser has revolutionized the process of hair removal by eliminating hair in a safe, quick, and effective manner.

Laser hair removal works by selectively targeting the hair follicle. The hair follicles in the active growth phase are destroyed, and the skin is left unaffected.

On average, five treatments are needed for the face, with four weeks between treatments, and three or four sessions are needed for the body, with six to eight weeks between sessions.

Because not all hairs grow on the same growth cycle, multiple sessions will ensure that all your unwanted hair is eliminated. After the initial sessions, only an occasional touch-up procedure is necessary to treat any remaining hairs.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Over a lifetime, the outermost layer of the skin grows increasingly blemished, often incurring significant sun damage and wear and tear from the elements. Redness, acne scars, enlarged pores, dirt, grime, makeup and debris all combine to create a complexion that is less than appealing.

A chemical peel can help to begin reversing these imperfections, restoring your skin to a lovely, revitalized texture and tone. Our board certified plastic surgeons are able to customize your treatment, fine tuning the process to address your specific skin type, aesthetic goals and lifestyle needs.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is a very common procedure at Associates in Plastic Surgery. We use a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, which is specifically designed for tattoos. There are different laser heads to address the different colors.

The great thing about the tattoo laser is that it should result in minimal to no scarring, whereas the old dermabrasion techniques left significant scarring.

On average, 6 sessions are needed for laser tattoo removal. Colors like green and yellow are more difficult to remove than dark blue and red. After each treatment, a period of 3-4 weeks is needed for healing before the next session. While no one can give a guarantee of removal, most of our patients are happy because the tattoo is either removed or close to being removed.

mole removal

mole removal

Our plastic surgeons are specialists in removing your unwanted growths and repairing the defect with a nice plastic surgery closure. Insurance may cover the removal of your growth and it can usually be done at our surgical center with no need to go to the hospital.

Surgical removal of moles from the face or body by a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon is the safest, most effective method of mole removal. Mole removal is performed by numbing the area with local anesthetic and excising the mole, closing the area with tiny sutures. The results are fast healing and minimal scarring.

STRETCH MARK REMOVAL

STRETCH MARK REMOVAL

As most ladies know, stretch marks can be embarrassing and hard to get rid of. The doctors at Associates in Plastic Surgery use pulsed-dye lasers to reduce the redness of stretch marks. Lifting and tightening can improve the marks themselves. Stretch marks on the abdomen are removed with tummy tuck surgery.

CELLFINA

CELLFINA

Cellulite is an issue for millions of women, causing lumpy and dimpled skin on the thighs, hips, buttocks and belly that is largely unresponsive to diet and exercise. Often embarrassing and unsightly, these subcutaneous fat deposits cannot be treated through plastic surgery methods such as liposuction, and home methods including massage and topical creams never live up to their promises.

This can make cellulite a persistent and troubling issue for women of all shapes and sizes and at nearly any stage of life – but our plastic surgeons have a safe and effective solution: Cellfina.

If you are interested in a proven effective and long-lasting cellulite treatment, please contact Associates in Plastic Surgery to schedule a consultation.
