Medlogic Direct Primary Care

FAQs

What is included in my membership fee?

Anything and everything we can do in an office based practice. For our long list of services covered, see the Benefit Covered under Your Membership page

Why do you charge a membership fee?

This allows us to limit the number of patients in the practice, which gives you significantly more time with your primary care physician in a relaxed, unhurried environment. This also ensures same day or next day appointments.
It allows members to better budget their healthcare finances; without worrying about extra costs, co-pays and deductibles for routine care.

What about lab work and other testing?

All members have access to many basic lab and diagnostic testing (Point of Care rapid strep and flu testing, urine testing, pregnancy testing and mono testing) for no charge at all. For non-covered labs, we offer significantly discounted wholesale prices -- 50% to 90% less than insurance based prices. We will published our prices. If you require labs not listed, you can contact us for pricing on just about anything.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope. We provide most care to members without any fees at all! If we do charge for non-covered services, we always list prices upfront. If we recommend outside services, we try very hard to find you an upfront, reasonable price if paying cash.

Should I wait to join?

No. We will limit the number of patients in the practice. This will be on a "first come, first served" basis. Once the limit is reached, the practice will start a waiting list for those still interested in joining. The enrollment list must be honored in order to provide the highest standard of personalized care and service to those enrolled.

What is not covered by the membership fee?

Hospitalizations, evaluations by other physicians or specialists, emergency room visits,
prescription medications that are sent to an outside pharmacy, outside labs, pathology services, cultures, radiologic studies (x-rays, CT Scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, etc.), childhood immunizations, physical therapy, workers compensation. Remember that for labs and imaging, we offer 50% to 90% off typical costs incurred with tranditional insurance plans.

Do patients sign a contract for care?

No. We want you to have as much control as possible with regard to your healthcare. You can cancel at any time. We do however offer a discount for those members who choose to pre-pay a 12 month membership. Should you choose to cancel and re-join later again, you will be charged a re-enrollment fee. We do ask that you sign our patient agreement however, so that you understand how our practice works.
