Benjamin Fischer, MD

Dr. Benjamin P. Fischer, MD is Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. He earned his M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. After graduation, he accepted a commission in the Navy and completed his residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, which includes a year as Chief Resident. Later, he served in the US Navy Medical Corps on Whidbey Island, WA and at Fischer Clinic. After the Navy, he worked as a Hospitalist at Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC, before making Raleigh his home in 2007.

In 2015, he was a Finalist for NC Doctor of the Year - a program sponsored by the North Carolina Medical Society. He has always been a believer in a strong relationship between the "healer and the healed".
