Amy Cook M.D

Amy Cook, MD, a Board Certified in Family Medicine, is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She completed her medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and her residency at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital (now SCL Health) in Denver. Dr. Cook has been practicing family medicine for over 10 years.

Though Dr. Cook started her medical career working in a group private practice, recently, she has worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with patients who are uninsured or underinsured or have low income in Adams County. She can speak Spanish fluently and believes in high-quality healthcare for everyone. She is passionate about preventive healthcare and loves to educate her patients so that they can take better care of themselves and their families.

Dr. Cook has experienced the ever-changing, insurance-driven American healthcare market and is aware of its drawbacks. That's why she has greeted Nextera Healthcare Direct Primary Care with open arms and is excited about this new journey.

She enjoys a wide array of family medicine and finds particular joy in caring for children.

Dr. Cook resides in Denver, and when free, she loves to take advantage of all Colorado has to offer - camping, hiking, running, skiing, and enjoying outdoor times with her husband and two young children.
