For over 30 years, I have had the opportunity to do what I love: Being the family physician for patients of all ages while providing the special touch that demonstrates how much I truly care for them. One of my favorite expressions is -- ‘People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.’After years of working in a healthcare system that rewards volume over value, I have embraced a healthcare model called Direct Primary Care that restores the patient-physician relationship. Since insurance companies and healthcare systems no longer dictate how many patients I must see, I now have time to listen to your concerns, provide medical care customized to your particular needs, and answer your questions, all in an unhurried manner. Direct Primary Care of the Carolinas opened in December 2013 committed to bringing this new model of medical care to the Charlotte region.Dr. Katibah graduated from Wake Forest University Summa cum Laude and then graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed a 3-year residency in Family Medicine in Columbia, SC and received the Resident Teaching Award from his residency program. He is Board-Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has served on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians both as a medical student and as a practicing physician. He was also appointed by his peers to serve a term as the Chief of Medicine at CHS-University.
