Dr. Peterson, MD

I am a native of Nebraska who has had a non-traditionaI path towards becoming a family physician. After graduating from Lincoln East High School, I spent several years at the University of Texas, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors program, my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and my Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.

I subsequently received my Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

I returned to Lincoln and completed my residency at the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership in 2007 and have been in private practice since that time. I enjoy family medicine because it allows me to integrate my diverse experiences and holistic approach towards health care.

I believe that an appreciation of our unique physical, mental and spiritual experiences is essential to the doctor-patient relationship and bringing about positive outcomes in prevention. treatment, and management of our health.

As a family practitioner, I work with all age groups and am often fortunate to care for several generations of families! My special areas of interest are women’s health, psychiatry, pediatrics, and medical acupuncture. I am very excited to be joining Access Family Medicine and providing direct primary care services to Lincoln!
