Dr. Sidney Coupet

Dr. Sidney Coupet, an Internal Medicine physician, the founder and CEO of Coupet Quality Clinic (CQC). He provides quality primary and preventative and chronic disease management to hundreds of people living in South Florida using a Direct Primary Care model. Dr. Coupet is also the Founder of SPARK Health, an international accountable health organization that supports clinics in the US and in Haiti to deliver a more comprehensive service that includes primary & prevention, chronic disease management, behavioral health services and wellness which is all combined in a community health model. Dr. Coupet obtained his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Master of Public Health in Health Policy Management at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.Dr. Coupet has received numerous awards and distinctions throughout his career. He is the recipient of the Black Achievers Award in Medicine and was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. In recognition of his varied experiences, leadership and commitment to the healthcare profession Dr. Coupet was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. While there, he received an additional degree, Master in Health Services Research and published numerous peer-reviewed scholarly works around global health. As a multicultural (Haitian American) and bilingual (Haitian Creole and English) physician, Global Health /Public Health practitioner with a health services background he has been focusing on improving the health of transnational communities in the United States for the past 10 years while increasing the understanding of transnational influences on the US healthcare system. He has conducted and promoted research on the health impact of transnational communities. Dr. Coupet’s aim is to inform policies that support global coordination of healthcare in the US and abroad and establish effective healthcare delivery system models for vulnerable populations around the world.Dr. Coupet was recently featured in South Florida Hospital News for his leadership in bringing Direct Primary Care to Broward County, and his Direct Primary Care practice was recognized in the Sun Sentinel News as an alternative model to cost effective primary and preventative healthcare services. Dr Coupet provides High-Value care to communities around the world and provide a more cost-effective option towards accessing quality primary and preventative healthcare services. He believes in standing for the possibility that everyone has access to quality healthcare services no matter where they live!
