KAREN HABERTHIER

Dr. Karen Haberthier graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University Medical Center.

She completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also served as Chief GI Fellow. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology.

She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a major in chemical engineering and was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society.

Dr. Haberthier is interested in all general gastroenterology issues, and has extensive experience in colon cancer prevention, women’s health, nutrition, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. In addition, she performs CRH O’Regan hemorrhoid banding.

Dr. Haberthier is a member of American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Haberthier is married with two children, two dogs, and a cat.
