Susan Mellinger, MD

I am a native Virginian and have lived and served as a family physician for twenty-five years in Lancaster County. It's my privilege that I have the opportunity to care for people of all ages and backgrounds and tackle their health concerns together. I am thankful for the opportunity to join the Alere Family Health. I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University and got my MD degree from the University of Virginia. I opted for the family medicine residency program at Lancaster General Hospital.

It was my greatest joy getting married to my husband Don and raising our three children together. We, as a family, are fond of outdoor activities and love to maintain our petting zoo: a horse, four rabbits, two goats, and a miniature poodle!
