Dr. Michele J. Cho’s easygoing, down-to-earth nature sets her patients at ease and helps them feel comfortable throughout their treatment. Dr. Cho comes to SRM from California and New York, where her educational service and professional activities demonstrate a strong sense of advocacy for women. Before joining SRM, Dr. Cho received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Feminist Studies, both of which established the foundation of her medical education: MD from University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, completion of residency at New York University School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University of California, Los Angeles. She is board certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Jeremy Choy


Description

Dr. Jeremy Choy is an endocrinologist and an Acting Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Nutrition and the Department of Urology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He specializes in male reproductive medicine, and his clinical interests include male reproductive endocrinology, male infertility, oncofertility and fertility preservation, hypogonadism, and sexual health.

At SRM, Dr. Choy’s practice is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of male infertility, with the goal of determining what causative factors are behind a man’s infertility, and depending on the circumstances, what interventions might be available to help improve a man’s fertility. He is a strong proponent of a multidisciplinary approach to care, and he works in concert with SRM’s female reproductive endocrinologists and urologists to formulate treatment plans to provide his patients with the best opportunity for pregnancy.

Description

Family is extremely important to Dr. Amy R. Criniti, and she feels privileged and honored to help others achieve their family dreams. She strives to provide comprehensive and personalized fertility care to all of her patients, and believes there are many ways to build a family. Recognizing that the fertility journey can be difficult, Dr. Criniti is committed to supporting her patients emotionally every step of the way.

Immediately following completion of her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Criniti joined the medical team of SRM in 2006. Her clinical interests include fertility assessment, PCOS, age-related infertility, as well as the entire spectrum of fertility treatment including Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF). She has published research on topics including oocyte maturation, ultrasound use in gynecologic surgery, and single-embryo transfer in IVF. She has given many lectures on fertility topics as an SRM partner, and as clinical faculty at the University of Washington. She currently teaches the clinical fertility section to the University of Washington medical students.

Description

Dr. Lynn B. Davis knew from an early age that having children was very important to her—her biggest reward is helping others do the same. Recognizing that fertility treatment can be overwhelming, she places special emphasis on becoming an ally to her patients throughout their experience.

In 2008, Dr. Davis returned to her hometown of Seattle to be part of the growing SRM team. In addition to her clinical and teaching experience, Dr. Davis brought a special interest in medical decision-making, treatment plan cost effectiveness and evidence-based treatment strategies, backed by her Master’s degree in Health Research & Policy from Stanford University.

Description

The patient-doctor relationship is extremely important to Dr. Paul S. Dudley; it is one of the things he values most about his work. Patients appreciate not only his clinical expertise, but also his kind and understanding nature as they undergo the life-changing experience of expanding their families. He is dedicated to reducing the anxiety patients feel during fertility treatment and believes education and open communication play a key role in successful outcomes.

Dr. Dudley takes a special interest in complex and challenging cases. Clinically, he is regarded as an expert in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery–he serves as SRM’s Medical Director. His current research focus is in the field of Reproductive Genetics. Honored with numerous awards including the National Science Foundation’s Research Internship, Dr. Dudley has also been recognized by his peers. He served as Program Director for the 2014 Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Annual Meeting, and now serves as Director of PCRS.

Dr. Marah Hehemann is fellowship-trained surgeon, researcher, educator and patient advocate specializing in the field of male reproductive and sexual health.  She is an assistant professor of Urology at the University of Washington, and a leader in men’s health.  

Dr. Hehemann believes in providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a comfortable environment where patients and their partners can discuss problems like difficulty building a family, or sexual dysfunction.  She is committed to understanding a patient’s goals and works closely with her female reproductive endocrinology colleagues to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for men experiencing these challenges.

Dr. Brenda S. Houmard enjoys helping people through the emotional ups and downs of the fertility treatment journey, and describes it as one of the most gratifying aspects of her work. Dr. Houmard brings over twenty years of award-winning experience to SRM. Prior to joining the SRM team, Dr. Houmard spent 15 years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, where her focus on patient and physician education resulted in leadership roles in patient safety and electronic medical records adaptation. She is committed to fostering stronger understanding by patients and specialists of fertility issues, evaluations, and treatments.

Dr. Nancy A. Klein is dedicated to providing the most complete care possible for her patients. She focuses on ensuring their comfort and satisfaction, helping them make the best decisions for their individual situation each step of the way so that, ultimately, they feel whole and happy at the end of their experience.

Dr. Klein, a founding partner at SRM, is a noted expert in various research and clinical areas including transitions of the normal human ovary from birth to menopause, reproductive aging, egg donation, and ovulation induction. She serves as SRM’s IVF Practice Director and has been integral in the maintenance of excellent pregnancy rates. An important component of her directorship has been to spearhead efforts towards the reduction of high-risk multiple births.

Dr. Erik Mazur hails from Houston, Texas. He spent his college years in Ohio before returning to Houston to complete medical school, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility along with a Masters of Science. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI).

Dr. Kevin A. Ostrowski is certified by the American Board of Urology and is an expert in minimally invasive microscopic vasectomy reversal; testicular sperm extraction; micro-TESE; advanced sperm retrieval techniques in azoospermic men; hormonal therapy for infertility and hypogonadism. His research interest has been related to factors affecting success of vasectomy reversals, creating a more patient-friendly semen analysis and understanding the clinical evaluation and treatment of male infertility.

Description

Dr. Akhil B. Shah was born to be a father (he was telling corny dad jokes long before his son was born), and is thrilled to be helping other patients start their own families. His ability to get along with everyone he encounters, motivate everyone to work towards a common goal, and empathetic nature make him a natural ally for his patients.

Dr. Shah has a keen interest in reproductive surgery and has considerable experience and training in hysteroscopy for resection of fibroids, intrauterine adhesions, and uterine septums. Additionally, he is experienced in minimally invasive robotic assisted surgical techniques.

Dr. Shah is originally from Illinois. He completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and his medical school at the University of Illinois. He then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. There, he was known to be a warm, empathetic teacher. He was awarded a Golden Apple teaching award by the medical students who rotated through the OB/GYN department. He also received the Best Resident Research Award for his research on the cost benefit analysis of minimally invasive approaches to hysterectomy. He went on to complete his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He is board certified in OB/GYN and board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Angela C. Thyer felt a calling to the women’s health field early in her medical training. A founding partner of SRM, Dr. Thyer is highly regarded for her expertise in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS.
