Lauren Streicher

Dr. Streicher is a clinical professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University’s medical school, The Feinberg School of Medicine, and is the founder and medical director of the Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and the Northwestern Medicine Center for Menopause in Chicago. Dr. Streicher is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, Inc., The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health and The Scientific Network on Female Sexual Health and Cancer. She is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner of The North American Menopause Society. Dr. Streicher has authored multiple scientific papers and book chapters and is a sought-after speaker. She has written two books: Sex Rx: Hormones, Health and Your Best Sex Ever, and The Essential Guide to Hysterectomy.

Her clinical interests include all aspects of women’s health but Dr. Streicher has a particular interest and expertise in menopause and sexual health. In addition to her interest in consumer outreach and education, Dr. Streicher is considered an expert in the academic world. She does research, publishes in the scientific literature, lectures at medical conferences, and devotes significant time to teaching residents and medical students. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Streicher completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. Castle Connolly, US News and World Report, and Chicago Magazine have consistently recognized her as one of the “Top Doctors” in the United States.
